Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born to an adored family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos as well as the dramatic shows that she attends. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense training in singing at 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000 she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007 she moved to her current home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in classical Latin American music at private occasions. She is passionate about the performing arts, music, and the arts keep her involved in local activities both as an artist and instructor. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage others to do the same.
