Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21 1982) is an acclaimed American actress. She is most famously known for her role played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school and moved to Los Angeles after her divorced parents. Although she was struggling financially, her 2001 debut was acting as Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002, she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. She played the lead character for two seasons and won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the series to concentrate on her professional film work. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. The following year, she starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation to the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised Shannon's role in Lost for two additional episodes, which included the finale of the series. In 2013, she was in the sixth season of Californication. She plays Faith who's both the star-gazer and a groupie. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager her career began as a small part-time actress for her father. She was also in Donnie Darko with her twin brother. She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance in the romantic erotic comedy Secretary (2002) as well as the drama Sherrybaby (2006) both of which resulted in an Golden Globe Award nomination. She had several films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However the role she played as Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). As an unmarried mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she appeared in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Other roles she has played includes Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 Action thriller) and musicians in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as her role as the Kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal started her career as director, screenwriter and script writer when she directed and wrote the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film won Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by The Academy Award. Academy Award.
